Docent Educators Needed!

Are you interested in history?

Are you interested in teaching the lessons of Holocaust and genocide? Are you interested in becoming a change agent?

As we build our new museum and revamp our educational program, we are looking for volunteers to serve as classroom teachers and tour guides to a diverse population of students and adults.

Join us as we build our new museum!

Requirements: Candidates should have an enthusiastic desire to provide an interactive, meaningful, educational experience for visitors. Candidates should have an interest in learning how to teach using artifacts. Volunteers must be available to lead tours and teach classroom lessons once a week during a two-hour shift. Once chosen for the program, candidates will attend a 6-week course of study followed by a 4-week museum training course.

We are currently recruiting for our first class of Docent Educators! Training sessions will be held on Tuesdays from 1:00 - 4:00 pm beginning in late winter 2017.

An informational session will be held on November 15, 2016 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

Should you have any questions about the program, and to RSVP, please contact Amy SaNogueira at
