Better Together is a joint initiative between the Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education and the Haverstraw African American Connection which aims to bolster public engagement to fight racism, antisemitism and all kinds of hate through community building, conflict resolution and critical dialogue.

Haverstraw African American Connection

The mission of the Haverstraw African American Connection is to research, recover, preserve and teach the rich culture and contributions of African Americans with emphasis on the African American people of Haverstraw N.Y. H.A.A.C is a Non-Profit 501c3 agency. Through public outreach, dialogue, exhibits and other community initiatives, we will promote knowledge, acceptance and appreciation of our heritage.

HMCTE’s mission is to educate, through the lens of the Holocaust, about the dangers of intolerance, to invoke critical thinking, and to inspire moral courage in the face of injustice.
